I took my fuel rail and throttle bodies off to get access to change my starter motor, when I put it back together and start it up all is fine until the engine warms up, it now idles at 1300/ 1400 RPM for some reason, how can I turn it down to idle at 850/900 RPM please, thanks for any info

You've changed the setup by taking the tb's off.. You need to re-set them up now. Have you got the diagnostic software and a flow meter?

Setting up your throttles is a really great way to understand your car.

The procedure in the manual is all you need.

The diagnostic software is free.

And an air flow meter is far cheaper than getting a garage to do the work.

I have one similar to this:

And use an app for diagnostics.

Balance the airflow and roughly set the idle. Then put it all back together, go for a drive to get everything hot and set the TP's and idle.

Just removing and refitting the throttles shouldn't do anything to your idle speed, assuming you haven't moved the idle screw or throttle pots in the process. More RPM=more air so you've got an air leak somewhere, probably poor sealing from the o-rings on either side of the heat barriers at the bottom of the throttles as they'll have been disturbed when you took the throttles off. They'll need checking/replacing then the throttle setup procedure following in the idle speed is still incorrect.

On mine, I had disconnected the throttle cable to allow removal of the throttle bodies, and when I reconnected it I didn't push the end 'ball' of the throttle cable firmly enough into it's position in the throttle body mount

This meant that in effect there was always some acceleration on the car and it idled way too high

A small screw driver and pushing in the 'top' of the throttle body cable holder, pushed it to it's correct position and idle was back at normal

Sorry to jump the thread but try £6.50 postage for a $2.25 part (125A fuse) from a TVR supplier who will remain anonymous!

I bought the 100Amp and it came with a nice sealing case too

eBay is a god send sometimes for smaller parts!
Anybody have some pictures of removing the throttle bodies and then adjusting them? My car is fine but and I do everything myself but this one leaves leaves me a little bit hesitant for some reason!
