We've just bought a new house and the builder only ran satalite cables to the 3 tv points. I have no interest in Sky, so is it possible to cut the connectors off and use the cable for a normal tv aerial?

And then I just need to sort out why the home theatre wiring is set up so badly rofl

In the US our house had the same screw coax fittings for cable/satellite and for terrestrial TV. We used adapters on our UK video recorder, so maybe you just need a few of those and leave the fittings as thy are?

Google for "coax adapter screw push"

i need to do this when i have finished the multitude of jobs i have to do . had a look on aamazon for some ariels and there were some other things that i had not considered. interference from 4g was a new one for me.
please be careful. can anybody advise whether it is a bad idea to fit an ariel in the loft?

Got a few of those adaptors thanks biggrin

Going to get the aerial man in, as I'm hoping he can swap the Sky dish for one. Im in NZ, and no one seems to put the aerial in lofts here for some reason. It would be so much better if I could.

No real issues with a loft aerial but depends on the quality of the signal you can get.
Some good info here, ive used the LP20FHV listed with success in a loft.
