Oil temp guage.
Discussion
Does the ecu not already give an oil temp value? If so would it be easier to get one of the android apps that read all sorts of data like Aides?
I've just got one (Torque Pro) which I am testing on my RR EVOQUE ahead of fitting Powers knock MBE (OBD2) ecu I already get a spoken notification. "Engine has now reached operating temperature" although the evoque doesn't give a visible oil temp value?

Oil gauge:

The above picture shows a one-off 8-gauge Chimaera dash with additional volt gauge (from a Griffith) and oil temp gauge (face modified from a water temp gauge). The sensor for the oil temp was fitted in a modified sump plug.
This was back in 1997. Not sure if this car is still around. It was a 1995 4.0 serpentine.
