Guys,

My Boxster S has a few modifications as I wanted more power & Growl from the engine:

* Techart Stainless Exhaust
* Techart Fast Flow Manifolds
* Techart Racing Cats
* Powerflow Air Induction

These additions have made this a truly fantastic car (and believe me, it wasnt half bad before).

The power increase is amazing, torque is now beefier and so progressive it is seriously quick (est 290BHP).

The noise is in a class of its own. At low revs it sounds more live a TVR, then open her up and she screams like a Ferrari. Tunnels and underground car parks are now a joy, and people are constantly pulling up next to me asking me how I got her to sound so great!

Anyway, now to my question. Has anyone de-catted a Boxster S? There are lots of places that stock these bypass pipes and I was thinking of getting them fitted, but only if they improve the noise and power otherwise its just not worth it since I already have race cats.

Any info much appreciated.

Sounds great where did you get the parts ?

Also , have you had the car through an emissions test since these mods ? I struggled to pass on the much more lenient pre-1993 test with my previous 1989 RX-7 Turbo II (although these struggle on emissions).

I doubt if you could get anywhere near the current emissions requirements with cat bypass pipes.
