I have a Range Rover, Aston Martin, Triumph Bonneville and a Mini. (Ok the last one is really German).

I went to an Aston Martin owners meeting today, and indeed: a lot of people turned up in Range Rovers.

If I wasn't afraid of the running cost and reliability (myth or not?) of a RR, i'd buy one in a second smile

Very nice collection. Is the Aston wrapped? I didn't think Flugplatz Blue was available on an V8V of that age.

Its a myth mostly, they are volume sellers so a small percentage of horror stories helps perpetuate the reputation. The biggest cost is depreciation as always. Last time I changed into a 3 1/2 year old RRS that had already lost £50k from new. I do 15K miles a year in it. Consumables wear out more often than a regular car, but specialists are reasonable for servicing. £250-300 every £15k.

Here's a montage of my British collection; Blackpool, Staines and Newport Pagnell. Unfortunately I've yet to get a picture of all three together.

Perfect combination: Range Rover and Aston Martin, here's mine (I'm on my 5th RR), a 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography.
My wife drives a MINI so it's all British for us too. No Belgian cars so proud to drive British! :-)
