Just wondered what people have had on the front of their Cerbera tyre wise? I was looking at Goodyear Eagle F1's. 235/40/17.

Also I have AD08R's on the back, would you recommend matching the back with the fronts or get something a bit cheaper.

Thanks

Definitely AD08Rs for the front to match, look for the eBay seller 'bankofe.b.a.y' and ask him about stock. He has more recent manufacture dates than other sellers, and excellent prices. I have bought several pairs from him.

Go for AD08R, there is no reason to have them mixed.

.... gives me the best turn-in I've ever experienced
(still, even now, when they're shagged)

Ive tried to search for that username, nothing comes up except tyres from different companies. Found some on ebay, £290 for two AD08r's which is reasonable compared to what black circles etc. are coming up with.

He currently has a pair of AD08R 235/40/18 listed for £220, you would need to contact him for 17"

Tricky to find AD08Rs as the fronts are a peculiar size, I was looking but didn't get around to doing it. As it happens, they are an astounding tyre, quiet incredible dry weather grip.

I found the best deal was at Blackcircles, they are doing AD08R 235/40/17 for £141 each fitted.

That's a good price, but Ben did me a pair for £220 collected earlier this year (very recent manufacture dates too).

AD08Rs doing a great job

Alternatively you could watch one of these

This is one of my favourites

Ironically you probably won't hear a thing from the AD08Rs because they are no where near the limit.

I did have a very tense lap in a rental Suzuki driven by an acquaintance who was determined to extract everything from the AD08Rs. It was equally impressive and unpleasant, and my nerve broke long before the tyres broke away.

Black Circles haven't got them in, and the ebay seller hasn't either. Tyre leader got them at £142 each not including fitting. Anywhere else I can look?

I would check that the stock really exists by talking with the seller.

There was a long period a few years ago when 235/40/17 were unavailable (apparently the mould was broken during the earthquake), however I still managed to 'buy' pairs from several websites that had stock, only to be told later that tnone were available (it took several days the get a refund too).

Its strange how things change. I had to get rears a month ago and could get loads of different 235s (even R1Rs) but few 255s. The only suitable tyre I could get in both was the AD08r and I could get them from at least 4 sources, now there are none.
