My girlfriend is hoping to buy a Nissan Fiagro in a few months and has started looking around for insurance, but it seems that her premium on the Fiagro is almost double mine on my TVR.

She is 23 but a new driver, so no NCB. Can anybody reccomend any insurers for imports? That seems to be the main sticking point for the regular ones.

Cheers

Chris

Figaro's are so cool, nissan have done the '50's retro styling so well, tbh the first time I saw one I thought it was something from an Italian manuf.

Try the PH search feature.

For most imports try www.adrianflux.co.uk or
www.warwickdavis.co.uk insured my import, best price I could find.

Welcome to the club.

Quotes are not nice. She went to Tesco but only because they gave her some discount as we have home insurance with them too. If you do find someone decent, post back, she'd be very interested.

If the stereo needs sorting, do not get ripped off, heard some horror stories ! The units go for around £800 so do not throw away.

Cheers guys, we will continue looking. I think it's the lack of NCB that's killing her.

I insured my import RX7 with A-Plan, they were cheapest by some margin.

If you buy one of the Jap Mags, like Japanese Performance or Banzai, they have a whole load of adverts for Import Insurers in the back.

Also, i beleive there are a few Figaro specialists around, maybe they could giev you some pointers?

Try these places:

www.figaroparts.co.uk/

www.algysautos.com/Sports_Cars.html

Or check out the ads on Auto Trader...
