Well this is going to be a challenge, getting half a gnat's crotchet sized depth of field!

And today's effort - we'll call him "Boris"

Don't let him fool you - he wouldn't stretch from one side of your little finger to the other!

Edited because the link didn't work!

Thank you Ben. I have consistently had problems linking to the old Webshots, otherwise it's a reasonable site.

When was the last time you saw a cat with eight legs?

Garden spider - less than 10mm across! Looked black until you see him close up!

Glad it worked. You should switch to firefox browser, then you can just right click "copy image location" then paste that into your [pic] thing and presto!

YOu weren't joking about the shallow depth of field were you?

Now I'm guessing but is this two lenses stuck together? OR have I misunderstood? Any chance of a photo of the contraption if this is the case?

I am "Firefoxxing" BTW. As I posted in an earlier thread (about a month ago) sometimes Webshots links work and sometimes

Mysterious when some people could see my shark, others just the dreaded red cross!

Well, this one really straddles the Nikon/Canon debate

It's a Nikon 180mm on the camera (D70 - and it retains metering, which I'd lose with extension ring) then I backed up an old Canon 50mm F1.8 using those adapter rings araldited together. Cheap addition to the kit bag!

Shot in sunlight at ISO 800 F22 1/45th handheld (fool - how was it ever going to be sharp?) and cropped (for vignetting as much as anything) and sharpened in PS.
