Vauxhall blings up the Tigra

Styling pack offers shiny bits for 'street appeal'

If you or your loved one has a new Vauxhall Tigra, the company is now offering what it describes as "a styling pack to give this eye-catching coupé / convertible even more street appeal."

The new Irmscher Styling Pack consists of front lower skirt extensions, rear wing spoiler and sports exhaust silencer with twin round tailpipes, plus Irmscher chrome-effect badge and keyring. Tigra owners can make a saving of £134 by purchasing the styling accessories together rather than individually, and the pack can be supplied and fitted by Vauxhall-trained technicians for just £995, including painting.

All styling accessories for the Tigra are available from your local Vauxhall retailer, and are covered by a two-year warranty so you can be sure of the highest quality and a perfect fit.

Other exterior styling accessories now available for the Tigra include an Irmscher-branded cross-hatch grille with aluminium band and stainless steel door handle covers. There is also a choice of six different alloy wheel designs, plus uprated springs and suspension tuning parts to make the driving experience ever sportier.

In addition, retailers stock a wide variety of interior trim accessories to fit the new Tigra, including aluminium pedals, sports steering wheels, plus gear knobs and handbrake levers in a variety of special effects.

I didn't realise they even made them any more. The whole car / concept is pretty poorly executed IMO, body kit included.

The Puma is much nicer and a good drive too.

Oh dear the NEW Tigra do you see, NEW Tigra? It's the brand new metal folding hardtop car not the old one. Not that I like it thta much anyhow but senseless criticism of a different model irks me.

This car will sell like hot cakes. Its already quite spunky and with these lovely little extras it'll go down a storm.

Lucky lucky secretaries, hair dressers, rich daughters, girly-girls, some particularly well dressed men and of course all the bored desperate housewives out there.

Before you ask, no its not for me, I already have a 205 CJ !!

Saw one the other day as we blatted past it. What a thoroughly bland little car. Apparently selling like hot cakes with no discounts. Some people are just so dumb.

C'mon guys we're talking about a 15000 pound girls car here - not a TVR replacement! I think it looks pretty cool and you know it will be bullet proof and only need servicing every 20 000 miles!!!

Not meny cars with a folding hard top for that price! 206CC comes to mind, as long as you dont want to go round corners! Both look awfull, but then its not aimed at me.

Why are people "just so dumb"? Not everyone can (or wants to!) get a TVR or Porsche, so if they sell like hot-cakes, who are we to judge??? Sure, I don't like it particularly but if there are those out there who do (and obviously there are if the sales figures are to be believed) then let 'em have it! What would you suggest they purchase instead for the money??? Bottom line is, if I was Vauxhall/GM then I'd be very happy right now, surely they are only supplying the demand for these type of cars?
