An interesting film I came across. Lots of nice classics to spot; very nostalgic to see what life was like back then.

Compare those street scenes to today and it's like being a on a different planet. Love how those pedestrians are allowed to stand there right next to workers digging up the pavement with no need to have a 50ft barrier around the thing or the whole street being cornered off. Nice to see some interesting motors: one or two Commer vans (Commer Cob and Express Delivery van) which I believe are very rare now. A Citroen DS, MK2 Jag, Bentley, an Austin Healey Frogeye, and possibly a Jaguar XK120. Proper cars that had soul and character.

FF to the traffic scenes. This film coincides with me first becoming aware of cars to around the time I was learning to drive. Quite nostalgic. Notice how many people active on the construction sites we wearing no protective gear at all!

Looks like the widening of St Stephens Street and the construction of the inner ring road over Magdalen St near Anglia Square.

I think I counted two hard hats.
