I've purchased a new gloss black ski slope facia and glass buttons for my DB9 from Aston Martin Bits.

My old ski slope is plastic so I have also purchased a conversion kit as the new fascia is aluminium.

Most parts in the conversion kit are easy to fit, however there is a metal spring and black plastic cover, I know that the cover goes on the back of the sat nav screen, and the metal spring attaches the sat nav to the facsia, but how do I fit them?

I've seen some photos of the metal spring on the black cover, there seems to be 2 holes for it to go in but the black cover hasn't got 2 holes??

If anyone has fitted this kit please can you give me some advise?

Thanks

Give me a ring on 07827 663000 and I will talk you through it. It is quite easy, but watch your fingernails!

Hi Paul,

I've bought the same metal ski slope to replace a plastic one, and the conversion kit, and have exactly the same confusion on how to fit the spring onto the sat nav cover, which appears to have no holes!

Did you get yours sorted, and could explain it to me?

Thanks

Hi,

I am also looking to replace the skip slope with this fitting kit, but couldn't find any information anywhere, is there a workshop manual?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Isn't it more cost effective to have your original sprayed gloss black? This is what I did and it was under $200 with dent repairs; it looks terrific.

No, unfortunately the original ski slope was plastic backed, and the corners have cracked also sat nav cover was warped.

Can anyone help on how they managed to install the fitting kit?
Thanks!
