Hi all.

A friend was involved in a none fault incident. Having taken his contact details etc he was co-operative and apologetic but as a few days went by he changed to knock for knock and then avoiding all contact.
If one was so inclined, what could we do with his details to make his life a little more awkward from now on as a swap for the weeks wages it will cost to sort the damage he caused?
He lives too far away for the classic-PH 'frozen sausages' treatment.

Answers on a postcard please.

Call the insurance company and let them deal with it.

Why do you want to do anything to a friend? Just tell him to do the decent thing and start communicating.

Did you get an address? If so, just go round there and write it down.

Google ppi call back and enter the phone number into every website you can find.

Fill in his address and send off all those adverts in the back of the papers/mags

Send a glitter bomb (google)

Post him a poo.

Sorry OP I'm lost. If it was no fault. Then his insurer will pay his damage, if he claims, and your insurer will pay you damage, if you claim.

Can't quite see the beef here.

PH is nationwide, what part of the country is it in?, someone local can surely nip round and without the person knowing take a note of their number-plate.... then pass it on to the insurance co.

confused Either some of the reponses don't make sense or I've understood what seems to be clear cut totally wrong?

Wouldn't it have been a much more productive thread to ask if any lives in 'enter location' that can drive past a house and note down a cars registration.

Was busy writing when he posted ^^^

You mention a friend but no other party.
Who is at fault here, your friend or the other person you've failed to mention?

Another couple of confusedconfused. I read it as it's nothing to do with the OP. His friend was hit by another driver. The other driver is now not responding to calls. Is it any more complicated than that?

It sounds as though they naively agreed to avoid insurance and didn't record the 3rd party's vehicle details. Any normal person would just hand all the 3rd party's details to his/her own insurer and instruct them to release the hounds.

Problem is when they don't have insurance.

I realised I'd misread the title, it's the "someone" who is avoiding all contact.

She spend ages chasing the scum and in the end spoke with her insurance.
They said "Why didn't you come to us straight away? We have expert that deal with people like this.
Car was in for repair two weeks later.
