Anyone heard of this one? A colleage at work had an automated phone call out of blue last night, apparently from MSM. It said he had a text message and to press 1 to hear it. He didn't and just hung up, but was it legit? He's got kids who use MSM, so could have been for them?

You can send text messages to BT landlines from a mobile (although why you wouldn't just ring them anyway...), and the phone rings once.

When you pick up the phone, you get a thing a bit like the BT 1571 thing, press 1 to listen, 3 to delete etc etc.

Works on NTL lines as well. Very funny when you have some obscentities in the text

I don't think it was the BT text thing as he's with Telewest. I'll get some more details.....
