Looking to buy a cooking 991.1 - can cruise be retrofitted?
Discussion
I've been looking to buy my first proper Porsche for a couple months now and am really surprised with how badly specced most of the cars for sale are. They all seem to have 1 or 2 key components missing, and I'm not referring to big ticket items like PDLS or PCCB, rather things like heated seats, cruise control and folding mirrors... ie things which wouldn't look out of place on the 'standard specification' list of a BMW 3 Series!
Why do people miss out such key options when speccing these (relatively expensive) cars new? Or why aren't they standard in the first place?!
Anyway... I've honed in on a car which I could just about cope with but it doesn't have cruise control. Some googling has suggested that people have had this retro fitted by OPC Hatfield for circa £4-500. Has anyone ever had this done, or used Hatfield and can comment on their service? I'm based in London but willing to travel if it means avoiding an incompetent retrofit which leaves me with years of coding errors and electrical glitches!
Thanks!
Hopeful future 991.1 C2S (with rare cruise control) owner!
