It'll soon be time for new dampers. I'm between the S2 set up or Spax set up (incl springs) unless anyone can tell me where I can source dampers on their own?

My intention is to buy an S2 or maybe an Exige in maybe a year's time, so to be honest, I'd rather just stick on cheap dampers just now and save the pennies for the replacement car. (i know i'll probably be flayed for saying that!)

Are dampers easy to replace? Don't have a lotus garage near (hundreds of miles away) so would my local garage be ok to change them, they're usually quite good.

thanks in advance

Replacing them is easy, wheel off, a bolt at the top and bottom of the dampers and you are done, however if you do replace them they there is a reasonable chance that the geometry of the car will be altered. If you intend to replace it in a year for something else then why spend the money, just refit some more Koni's ? Most garages will have lots of spares what with people other upgrading all the time.

There is a chap on SELOC (SteveB) who I have read will fit a new set of S2 suspension and geo the car for around £500
