E91 heated rear window melting

Notified this happening this morning when de icing the car. It's warm and melted the trim and rubber on the glass. Haven't had the trim off to see what it is yet. Anyone seen this before?

Looks like it's corroded and shorted out.

This has happened to my window. What did you do to fix it if anything?

I’ve not seen anything melt before, but I worked on a car once, where the heated screen wasn’t going off, it was running permanently.

I was quite surprised at how hot the glass was getting.
