As with all things - a good feel is worth a thousand pics! :-O
As somone's said, using your fingers you should be able to judge if there's a lip at the outer edge which would give you a sense of the wear. Always worth checking the inside face of the disc by finger also (portion you can't see), as this can rust up quite badly if washed (or used in rain) with no drying phase before you park up.
If it's a 9.1 GT3 I'd have thought it would be on original discs and pads no? I suppose feasibly not if it was owned by some track warrior, but unlikely.
Even if the discs are a little neglected, you can quite often clean them up simply being using as god intended - ie HARD!!

What's the mileage and is the car regularly used? My GT 4 had just under 8k miles and the similar discs were hardly worn with no ridges, I think the lifespan with normal road use should be easily good for 20k plus ,probably even more.. Regular track use would for sure reduce this . What's your cars history ?
