I am trying to return a heavy item that I purchased on eBay. When going through the returns process on eBay, it is forcing me to pay £2.99 for Royal Mail or £4.60 for CollectPlus.

However, the item is far to heavy for those methods, and I am using my own courier.

Are there any eBay experts on here that can tell me how I log the return on eBay?

I have already messaged the seller who has agreed to the return. I just want to follow the official process on eBay.

Thanks in advance

just return it with a pod or tracking number, it is pretty simple.

You can send it back any way you like. But it needs to be tracked, so you can prove it to Paypal.

The eBay return sticker is I believe subsidised so you pay £2.99 it may be more - just follow the eBay model and you'll be ok.

If you click on the return you can enter the courier name and tracking number.

It will show a drop down box for Carrier and free form field for Tracking number the first time you go into it (you have to enter details manually even if you use the pre-paid labels).
