How many miles on your Ultima?

What the subject says. How many miles on your Ultima? How long have you gone without an engine rebuild? With all these high spec engines in these cars, how long do they typically last before a rebuild is needed?

I'm not even going to enter mine. Jeff Schwartz is over 18K and I don't think his engine has been out.

These engines are not as frigile as many think.

Oil leaks are another matter.

Yep, Mine hasn't been out in 18,000 agressive miles.
I've gone 70,000 on high performance chevy engines, before selling them, but haven't had to rebuild one due to wear yet.

Jeff, Am I right in thinking you are running an LS6? Have you found the older engines as reliable as the newer ones? I would have thought the more powerful engines need rebuilding more regularly, but wondered whether this is fairly gradual or whether there is a point beyond which you would expect the frequency of rebuilds to increase significantly?
