I've been using Slimfast High Protein Meal Bars recently (free sample - no idea what the PR girl was thinking, handing ME!! a pack of Slimfast bars??? eek )

60g bars...

210kcal
5.0g fat (1.5g saturates)
23.0g carbohydrate (13.0g sugars)
9.0g fibre
14.0g protein
0.6g salt

...certainly of no use to me (or anyone, I'd have thought) as a weight loss tool. I'd be hungry again within minutes if I was counting on it to fill me up. But more energy than a typical cereal bar so better on the bike when you need a boost. Counter-intuitive to use a slimming product as an energy bar maybe, but free samples is free samples. I'm all out now though, and the direct links to Asda and Morrisons from the SlimFast website just give me a "product not available" message so I'm not sure how they compare price-wise to sport-specific energy products.
