Missus wants another car and I have seen a C class estate locally - its up for £13.5k which feels a bit too much although its quite low mileage - I wonder if anyone can shed a light on what its actually worth ? description from ad:

Mercedes-Benz C Class 2.1 C220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Sport Edition 125 7G-Tronic 5dr - its got sat nav, leather seats but other than that seems pretty standard spec 26k miles, 1 owner local car with FMSH

Not in the trade but helped a relative by a W204 saloon from a dealer earlier this year. That was about a grand less but had done more miles, lower spec and was the less coveted petrol C180. Based on what you've said, it sounds alright pricewise. Is it from a dealer or private?

Pump the reg into Autotrader, I find these fairly accurate.

Well it appears good value at £13500 for a private / retail buyer like yourself.

I use Cap and it sees the car between 12400 and 13100 trade value with a retail of 15k

Autotrader i control sees it at 12600 to buy trade for a 15200 retail, having looked on autotrader and compared cars there are 11/61 plates with 40k for 14995!

i'd be doing a hpi check on the car just incase its cat d or has outstanding finance on the car!

Hope thats of help.

Regards Rick

Ok briliant thanks for the info - subsequently I actually know the owner as she/he are customers of mine and say they bought the car at 2 months old fromm the local dealer here. I know one of the tech guys there in the workshop and its had 3 services there. I will of course do the checks but knowing the owner it will be spot on and I suspect he would have wedged out for it
