Just wondering - what is the usual length of time from a verbal job offer being made through to receiving an actual paper offer etc. I dont think there is any issue and have been told all is ok, just been a few weeks between being told and well you can imagine.

is it usually pretty quick or can it take some time ?

Cynically I would usually say time kills deals.

Are there any remaining negotiating points? or complications, EG someone in the role they are letting go?

Usually we are anywhere from two days to a week to send a formal offer.

Rare for us to be longer unless there is a visa issue or some unresolved internal politics. but in those cases we are talking to the candidate and managing their expectations.

hope it works out.

No negotiations pretty straightforward, think its due to this being a new start up and they are resourcing etc. still would like something like concrete offer in my hand. just be people getting things sorted out their end I guess.

Yes, big change in direction and back to what I liked doing. I ended up in a different role where I was that wasn't as hands on as what I would have liked, just kept at it hoping that things would get better. anyways redundancy came a chapping and I took the cash and started looking.

Job was advertised and went for it and was offered it so taking it. So yes exciting it is.

And its popped its ugly head up again, the spectre of redundancy, two roles to one, anyways another job lined up and heading on to pastures new... PFI contracts Id stay clear of if I can in future.
