Picked up my first Posche today,
a black 1987 944 Turbo. Awesome. Took it for a test drive and got it inspected. Seems to have taken ages to get it's issues sorted - probably just eager anticipation. The guys at Zest in Aldershot have done a fantastic job on it. Can't wait to get it the new brakes bedded and realy drive it.

Nice one, 944 T is the best Porsche ever. Near-perfect handling, lovely progressive boost (just watch the tail in the wet though).
These cars are waaay better than any 911

I thought they'd gone out of business?
BTW, is that Posche, as in Posche and Beckes?![]()

Judging by the cars in the workshop, they seemed to be very much in business to me.
BTW pardon the numpty spelling but it was late and there may have been a celebratory absolut involved
Hello Ripton and AdamT.
Two questions and one statement:
(1) What did Zest do? How much did it cost? How long did it take
(2)How do you upload pictures onto this forum?
Well done bro, I am next in line!! I am looking around for Turbo's at the mo' and I can't wait to feel the sheer excitement you're feeling!!
Best regards

Randlemarcus, your post made me smile!
I am only 27 and I can't wait till I am one million years old to pay for performance like that (at £50k). So I did some thinking and settled on performance at 7k!
How much do you think one should pay for a mint, decent miles, 220 or 250 turbo?
Whats the most important thing to look for besides FSH.
What absolutely needs to have been done on the car at the last service?

I reckon you should be looking for a recent belt service on a 944T.
It's not a cheap job changing and re-tensioning the belts on an 8v 944, turbo or not. Make sure they put in a new tensioner too, not just re-used the old one (false economy). Clutch recently would be nice too (remember it's a transaxle).
as for you Dakkon...
