k i got some questions for you tuscaholics...
if you can only answer just one of these questions please do!

1. i only just recently noticed that the rear wheels are missing the top half of the brake caliper/pads e.g. the bit with the yellow tvr logo... is this normal? as i cant seem to find a pictures with rear brake pads that have the yellow tvr logo on them..
____________________________________

2. my car has been under a covercraft cover for awhile, now when i take the cover off and give it a clean and make it all shiny n stuff the car has looks to die for but it has these little marks on the body its hard to explain what they are exactly but its like where the covercraft car cover has rubbed up against the glossy coat or should i say car body and it has left like smudges? like a raindrop has trickled down the front but this raindrop has left a trail that wont go away and no matter how many times i give it a clean with some water it wont come out =/
(and its not tree zap or anything like that)
(i can take a picture if needed)
____________________________________

3. can someone explain to me what de-catting does exactly? or what it means when people say there tuscan is de-cat?
ive got CCC Cans on and it sounds awsome will de-cat make it louder or increase performance? will it still pass mot with this done? pro's and con's?

4. where do i get those brand spanking new silver nuts from that go on the inside of the spider wheels
(like those below but silver)

____________________________________

5. ok in the pic below you can see the guy has his roof and rear window out what is that cushion like thing he has in the boot? that will possibly keep the rear and roof firmly in there positions and maybe stop petrol from spilling onto anything in the boot?
is that a tvr product you can buy? or simply a black bin bag with something under it?

6. where can i get little plates for my tuscan from?
like in this pic here and are they legal?

____________________________________

7. is it possible to get Stainless Steel Pedals installed like below for my tuscan instead of the standard pedals you get which are kinda thin and long as i think i would find it easier driving the tuscan with the pedals below, and if it is possible how much £££?

Hi there.
The yellow Tvr logo is only on the front brakes so dont worry you havent lost them.

Stainless wheel nuts can be obtained from Shinynuts.
www.shinynuts.co.uk Jeremy Smith. Mine are domed, cost around £100 and are gorgeous.

Paintwork prob sounds like you need to go to an expert. Whatever you do dont try T cut. Too abrasive for our paintwork.

The cover in the boot looks like the bag for the rear screen. Fleece lined. Your car should have come with one. If not get one cos the screen scratches very easily.
I am not mechanical so cant say exactly what de-catting would do to performance or sound CCC cans are loud enough for me.

Hope this helps.

Fernhurst fit them as standard to all Tuscans they sell, like the one in my profile. I'm sure most dealers and specialists could get them for you too.

Alternatively you can also order them from www.fancyplates.com. You need to use their "fancy plate" constructor, rather than the standard UK one, and specify 3/4 size in the options.

Cheers,
Pete

De-catting basically removes the catalytic converters from the car, and replaces them with a straight-through pipe.

Three benefits:
1. No need to buy new expensive cats when the old ones are spent
2. Better throttle response
3. It's bl**dy loud. Too loud for many, just right for me.

If you've got the latest ECU, etc. then it should still fly through the emissions test... (mine did)

is your rear plate the same size as your front?
and having these plates on the car wont get you pulled over?

if i wanted to de-cat my tuscan would i for example take it to a tvr dealer or can a local garage that fitted my CCC's on do the job?

Local garage should be able to fit the de-cat pipes. Dealer (or specifically TVR Power) if you want the ECU sorting too (really don't know if it'll get through the emissions without the latest engine mappings)

Personally I would go to your dealer and demand one as your right. The car should have one and they are cut to fit the window, a pain as they can be very tight.

Tusc has floor mounted pedals, so completely different to 99% of other cars out there. You could replace the bits, I'm sure, but as far as I know there's noone that's done that yet. (Could well be wrong, mind)

If no-one else is gonna chip in, for what its worth, and I am prepared to be flamed. I dont think you can fit these as the mechanics are different. However if you contact Levens 01268 281611 or sales@leventechnology.co.uk ftao Jules they can give you a definitive yay or nay.

Good luck.

Hiya,
In answer to number 3 I know exactly what you mean, I work in a bodyshop and we get this with leaving plastic sheet on cars sometimes. You should find it will polish out with a good wax like Auto-Glym radiant wax no.12 or anything similar that has a very slight cutting/cleaning effect not just a wax.If it is badly marked you may need to use a machine but unlikely. If you cannot sort it you may need to come see me for a polishing lesson.
Pete.
