In the below picture, around centre between the church spirals, there is a an annoying bright light shining right back at me!

Apart from shooting it out(probably not a popular idea in NYC!) is there a way to remove it in post?

How big is the original image? I ask because getting rid of it is basically all about cloning out the light itself and the rays in PS and I'd want to get in close before attempting that.

I toyed with the idea of giving it a go but the owner has disabled downloading of his images.

Nice picture BTW.

Thanks, the original photo was taken on a 6D in raw, so detail should be fine.
I have no idea how to allow downloading though in FlickR?

As per singlecoil, I'd head for the clone tool in PS. It will take some time/experience to do a good job - adjust brush size, edge feathering and clone distance as required.

Go to 'Your Account' then 'Privacy and Permissions' - the first setting is 'Who can download your images'

ps - it's doable but looks like a pain in the ar$e to me - good luck! smile

To be fair I wouldn't have noticed the church if it wasn't for the light.

another option for the detail on the spires.

fix the left one, copy the whole spire and shift over to the right one, will be easier than trying to fix it
