In one of the last series - Jan Howard drove a white Lotus Excel or Eclat - they might be one and the same!!

Her son Leo had a motorbike then got a decent job and upgraded to a Saab convertable - What a sad muppet I am for remembering such trivial tosh!!

Ken Masters had a Renault Alpine!

Jack had a big Alfa Romeo saloon., his daugter Avril had a golf cabrio.

O/T Years ago whilst meeting up with mates at Southampton Uni we went to the pub used in the series.

Marcus Tandy also had one in Eldorado. The Alpine was the best actor in the show IIRC!

Our boatyard was used as the yard where Ken Master's powerboats were built (which in reality were actually Sealine powerboats).

The Mermaid yard was filmed at Elephant Boatyard in Swanwick.

And to my knowledge the old chap that played Jack Rolfe still lives in a caravan next door to Mercury Yahct Harbour on the Hamble.

Glynn Owen (jack Rolfe) died last September.
His son is also an actor, playing the Laird in Monarch of the Glen.

That would be the Frog and Frigate?

A mate told me he used to drink there and that's where they filmed the exterior shots.

I have thought about buying a Kallista on a number of occasions. A really charming looking car IMHO.

Good value, looks better than a Morgan, is rarer and goes better.

I think they really are forgotten gems.

Glynn Owen was a good actor.

The guy who played "Howard" died whilst they were making it IIRC.

The rest of the cast died every time they opened their mouths. They were basically actors who weren't good enough to get a part in Crossroads.
