LR Mobile Sync

Am I understanding this right:

I have been using LR mobile to edit photos whilst out and about. I'd like to sync these back to a computer and to do that I thought I would set up a new catalog just for the purpose. So I do that and go to sync with LR mobile, only it tells me that its going to delete all photos on there before syncing with this new catalog?

So it'll delete the very photos I actually want to sync? How do I not do that?

LR Mobile Sync only works with one catalog, which is quite annoying when your workflow includes multiple catalogs.

I'm still refining my workflow with LR Mobile, it should be a good tool, especailly with the ability to shoot raw on my iPhone 7.
