Small new van

I am looking at new vans - there are some good deals on Berlingos, Kangoos and Combos but I am getting increasingly nervous about current diesels. I kept my last van - an old shape Berlingo - for nearly 10 years and it has been cheap reliable transport. Is it reasonable to expect the same again? Are any of them more reliable than the others, or is it just luck? Should I be looking to run them with warranty and then trade in?
