I would imagine it would be quite difficult, could you not import a US spec Elise?

From US it will be very expensive because of taxes in Portugal. My first option was Germany but in England they are cheaper , that's the reason for my post.

If the change is dificult, I will have to keep looking for a good deal in Germany or other CE country

Thanks

Could you bring it into another EU country first, and pay the taxes there, such as Ireland?

Boggy, I saw their site, interesting, I will contact them later, thanks.

Bob, how can I import a car to Ireland being portuguese? That will be great business for me , but I don't see how?

Have you considered calling Lotus and talking to them?

MadMax, can you please post your findings?
I was wondering the other day if it would be better to convert my Elise or buy another one from Germany, when and if I ever return to Greece.

Hi Guy's

Yes it is possible, I've spoken to Norman at Ntc and he said the best way forward was for you t contact him and give him your spec, car model etc. obviously the amount of work needed determines the cost.
