I'm looking for inspiration via pictures of a TVR Griffith in a more flamboyant colour scheme. Interior as well as exterior. All pictures are welcome but if possible to stay away from the traditional dark blue exterior and magnolia interior as that is what I've already got.
My brain is stuck on silk violet exterior and Portland grey interior with a carbon or machined finish stainless dash and I don't even know if a dark blue hood would look strange or not?!
Thanks in advance for any pictures smile

If you have a scheme in mind that you like, go for it! If you're unsure of the blue hood, go for black. And if you decide on the machined dash, have a word with PeteGriff, he does a lovely job with the benefit of a secure attachment for the switch panel.

I would like mooraker black paint, toffee brown leather and carbon or piano black dash. I think that would look class

I test drove a brand new VW Corrado years ago in what I think is silk violet - on a car with more curves to catch the light it would look pretty damn cool

I like grigio titanium and mulberry/wine hide/just plain red. There used to be a 500 owned by 'catretriver' on here - silver with bright (BRIGHT!) red full hide and engine turned ally dash and I always thought that looked stunning.
Like this but maybe a greyer silver...and a better looking bodyshell paperbag

The 500 SE page is good for comparing colour combos - loads in one place.

But Rolex-ish and brahn for me all day long please.
This interior colour but less diamond stitching.

With rolex blue or going slightly purpler... heading towards BMW Individual Velvet Blue which I had on a car and loved.

Not a Griffith but something different. Emerald/blue exterior. Black and portland interior.

I have had my Griff retrimmed. Green / Cream ( I know you don't want Magnolia!), with piped seats and matching steering wheel. New dash with Tuscan vents to replace the square plastic original ones. Green lights on all dash gauges (LED). Bit of light quilting on the door cards ( and also had the roof section inner, done to match).

New carpets.

My choices.

Done at DandC Trim, Blackpool.

Thank you to everyone that has posted so far. All are great colour combinations even on the non griffs smile. I'm actually liking the diamond stitch panels and the picture above getting rid of the black rectangular air vents. That's something I will definitely be doing with a machine finish dash. I was also trying to find a silver finish stereo to replace my wood effect Pioneer this evening smile

I can add that i used Maserati Blue Mediteraneo for this car, but the lighting in the pic you used doesn't do it justice. When sun is shining on it, it really comes "alive" and enhances the contrast with the leather.

More pics on my thread about it; http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I have to admit I do think your chosen colour looks spot on! My car is currently starmist blue so not a million miles away from your colour. I think if mine started as a plain gloss I would choose something similar to yours.

Above is my Griff. So trying to move away from the darker blue shades. I'm not keen on a reflex colour which looks good on a Tuscan. A mica pearlescent is what I'm after. I do like your detail changes with the high mounted tweeters in the door panels and that's something I will incorporate in my new interior as an active 3 way system via a 5 channel amplifier. smile also the luggage straps finish off that small rear space perfectly. wink

Here is a great dash, far better than the original one with the black warning panel

I like your wheels! They suit the modern and instant classic "Cobra of the nineties"-look that the Griff is to me. Are they all 4 the same size?

To be honest i never used the luggage-straps yet.... but i just like them as a finishing touch as wel....

Is that carbon dash a film covering or real carbon fibre? The silver warning panel looks different are they readily available?

The Griff is a bit of a Brit muscle car. It's styling is fab in my eyes smile
The wheels are 3 piece 8jx17" et33 rears and 7jx17" et25 fronts. Although I have a set of BBS rc41 +rc42 that I've re-engineered to suit a 4x108 PCD. Picture below. They are still 17" but slightly wider at 7.5j and 8.5j.

Sorry for the delay but they are both a one off fitted by a previous owner but they look really well together
