Hi

We have a Golf 1.4Tsi with the DSG automatic box. Its a 2010 model and we are looking to upgrade to a newer model.

I have read about the judder that can creep in with these over time when the auto box shifts from 1st to 2nd. Does anyone know if VW have fixed this issue on newer models?

Also would it affect other brands in the VW family? i.e. do they all share a common transmission?

Cheers

I assume that's the 7-speed (dry clutch). My 2012 Octavia vRS CR with the 6-speed (wet clutch) has covered just on 40K miles and there is absolutely no judder.
