How to kill an R/C Car

It would appear that driving an R/C car head on into a brick wall at full speed causes the motor to seize up!

Any suggestions as to where to get a new (preferably uprated) one? Car is a Tamiya Rover Mini Cooper (front wheel drive)

I hate it when that happens.

Had a tarmac only DTM nitro merc once. Full speed, about 60mph, after about 200m went to brake and turn the cornor but didn't respond. Hit 6" kerb. looked like I might have got away with it from a distance, then realised that when put on the ground the right way up none of the wheels touched the ground

Ive got model planes and boats.

You wanna see the mess when you stove a balsa plane with a 9 foot wing span into the ground!! you end up with match sticks.

I lost control of my nitro model boat in rough water, around the 50mph mark, looked just like when Cambell lost it in bluebird.

Oh My poor Precedent Hi-Boy was destroyed twice. First one was me misjudging a wall and the other was major radio interference causing it to nose-dive at full pelt into the ground . Amazinly the wings remained intact so I rebuilt it. Haven't flown it in years though.

oh my savage did crashing into tree at 50mph. and bent the chassis. still driveable but it wouldnt go straight.

new chassis later £10. then its back.

very durable car.

Yep... drilled my first airplane into the ground. The engine was 6 inches underground so had to be dug out. We retreived the radio equipment and the engine then proceeded to pour the remnants of the petrol tank over the wreck and set it ablaze.

we stood , heads bowed paying hommage to the wreck and cried over the hours spent whittling away in the winter building the damn thing only to watch it disappear as the main wing spar broke mid-flight sending it into a death spin and lawn-dart.

Pah.. From then on I only bought 2nd hand airplanes as the pain is less if it goes down in a blaze of glory


Oh yea, got a bunch of Tamiya cars now (42,000rpm elec motor with unlimited ESC and empty Tescos parking lot = FUN)
