Best Albums of 2016........

Not been an epic year, my personal favourite has been Youth Authority by Good Charlotte - the track Outfield the best and surprised not a single

Santa is getting me Disturbed Live and Metallica Hard Wired so ive not heard those yet or the Devilment album.....

Have found some good stuff this year, but mostly a few years old that ive just happened across..

hard one, not many great albums. i like the new de la soul album, again metallica have managed to make a piss poor album

The Rolling Stones although it a covers album tops it for me.

The Wytches album I really rate also A Tribe Called Quest.

Bat For Lashes - The Bride. A concept album, a form rarely seen these days; a very well executed Mercury Prize nominee, but I still think Fur And Gold is her best work.

Escape by The Thrillseekers is my album of 2016. It's been a long time in the making. Steve Helstrip (aka The Thrillseekers) broke onto the dance scene in 1999 with the massive 'Synaesthesia' and has made a lot more great tracks since, but it's taken him until 2016 to make a complete album. It was worth the wait!

Volbeat - Seal the Deal and Let's Boogie

Metallica - Hardwired....To Self Destruct - Mixed views from many but I actually think it's a great album and has some excellent riffs. Reminds of a cross between the 'black' album and their Load/Re-Load era with some thrash thrown in.

This year f, imo, has been spectacularly poor music wise.
Now that may well be down to my way of listening/discovering new stuff, mainstream Radio playlist's seem to get worse day by day. If it wasn't for Huey Morgan on Radio 6, I think I'd not bother to listen at all.

Only bought the one CD all year. Car Seat Headrests Teens of Denial.
Great driving music, imo, and sounds better every journey.
