Bit late to ask: V12v running costs compared to V8?
Discussion
So how much more is it going to cost? Servicing, fuel? Tax will be the same. Insurance? Did a Compare the Market and I'm getting quotes around £1k per year, compared to my V8 at around £500. That surprised me. Having said that it is over twice the value and obviously quicker. Need to ring around some specialists to see if I can get that down (any tips?)

I didn't notice many changes in servicing or running. You'll use a bit more fuel but unless it's a daily, you won't notice. Biggest thing will be if you have to change the CF brakes.
I hope you mean Carbon Ceramic brakes and not Carbon Fibre. Whilst they'd be very lightweight I wouldn't be confident in them stopping you
Joking aside has anyone on here had the pleasure yet of needing to replace the CCM's ?

The 3 track days that caused the excessive wear were indeed pleasurable. The replacement cost not so much
I thought they were not supposed to wear out? Were there any issues with them before the track days? This is a bit scary (not that I'll do any track days in mine but I do visit Milton Keynes every now and then and a "spirited" drive on that road set up can cause brake fade using the best of brakes (although haven't tried Carbon brakes)

They were fine when I purchased the car at 8,000 miles. I think they were changed at about 22k (fronts only) and it was definitely the track days that finished them off. I know of one other PHer who has done the same and one that is living in denial. They wear out, fact. That said under normal spirited road use I suspect they will last a fair while. Haha yes, certainly not CF
No this is 100% the discs. My old V12V was due a set too, probably still is... but I was smart and bought a DBS that had just had them changed
As I say... get them inspected before your warranty is due. At the end of the day, enjoy the car, I intend giving the DBS some track time and if it needs a set a few years down the line, so be it. I did find this place but have no first hand reports on what their work is like, the Porker owners seem to love them:

Mike at BR advised me that CCM discs should nominally last 3 pad changes of around 15k miles each, so 45-50k miles maybe depending on useage obviously.
One of mine was running slightly out of whack (wouldn't pass the MOT) and needed 'premature' replacement, ouch indeed, worth getting a check done as they aren't a warranty item. Luckily they were quite new so I got away with just doing the one, plus pads.
