Could there perhaps be any connection with this?

You say update, and we say upgrade.
It all comes with free coffee, but don't forget your cheque book / debit card.

I contacted the service department at Works about mine on receipt of the email and they couldn't find any outstanding items when they checked.
As the email gives links to contact the dealer who will then call you back the cynic in me wonders if its a ploy to talk to owners of Vantage V12s about the new manual version and the return call would be from sales rather than service.
