Well.. bought myself a Lacie Silverscreen (USB DivX player) which is great. Trub: only output is HDMI; they include an HDMI > s-video cable, but my little projector is crap with s-video. What it's great at is VGA 800 600, and DVD component playback with progressive scan signal (non interlaced) using the same VGA port.
The lacie product boasts frequenices as such, and the interface confrims these outputs (VGA, prg scan, hi def etc) , however speaking to Lacie they've no idea which way's up let alone anything useful (bit unfair.. they were v friendly just not much help)
Anyhow.. that's my challenge.. to supply the projector with a signal that it likes. Trawled the web for suitable cables without any joy so far
