Looking for advice please.

I've decided to get a second set of wheels with winter tyres for my 2011 V12V. I really like the look of the new lightweight ones on the new V12VS (the new seven speed manual), these would look great on my Meteorite car. Do you know if these wheels would fit my old car?

Also, where would be the cheapest place to buy them? and is it a bit cheeky to ask two different dealers to quote? I expect the cost will be the same, but you never know.. ? biggrin

Thanks.

Normal V8 Vantage wheels will not fit as more clearance due to the CCBs is required

Depending on design, probably Rimstock.

Adam may have a set that are just a few weeks old as he swapped for Zagato's which is also something you can consider.

Thanks for the replies. I contacted my local dealer, they can supply the old V12V ones I already have for £4300, the ones I'd really like from the S cost £5800 but aren't recommended as they've never been tested on the older V12V.

Thanks Jon, I phoned Rimstock and they were really helpful, but don't stock the ones in my size, they gave me two more places to try, Rimstyle and Wheel Mania.

Luckily I'm not in any hurry. biggrin If any one sees any hens teeth please give me a shout. thumbup

The offset of the V12 wheels is biblical. That's your problem in getting aftermarket rims. The only rims that don't look poo will be bespoke ones. For that, you're looking at about £4k give or take. But then you are talking bespoke HRE's, OZ's, BC Forged and the like.

So if you're just after a second set of rims for winter then the cheapest option is fleabay for OEM V12 rims. If you're looking to splash out on the coolest rims, then its a very long wait for V12S rims or go the HRE way. That does mean your new sparkly rims become summer ones and the OEM ones are your salt catchers.

I bought Adam's wheels, hence I have a spare set of V12V diamond turned wheels i.e. my original wheels, which I'm happy to sell if you are interested.

Thanks for the information, I like the look of the HRE's and OZ's.

well, I hope you realise your new rims are 'not recommended', you could be driving a death trap. biggrin

Thanks for the offer of the diamonds, for now I'm going to pursue the lightweight design as I'd prefer to have something that looks completely different each time I change over. Why did you want to change yours? Are you pleased and have you a photo? smile

Damn...slipped my mind that the colour change means it's out of spec - best not tell the insurance co!!!

I changed only because I always preferred liquid silver wheels and a combination of right place / right time. I wasn't really looking for them it's just Adam's became available so more of an opportunistic purchase

looks almost the same as before !!!!
