I'm looking at an Superlight R300 (k series), did they come with the roller barrel throttle bodies as standard or would they have been fitted later? Do add a significant amount of power as I've seen 10-15bhp being quoted?

Also did they mainly come with 15" wheels or was that an option?

Thanks
Dave

Early ones had roller barrels, then they went to EU3 and VVC. The VVC is almost certainly 'better', but the roller barrel cars were great fun.

I have a 2004 R300 K and it has throttle bodies and is rated at 160 bhp. This was factory standard. The VVC was rated at 165 bhp and does not have t/b's as standard.

The R300K came with 15 inch wheels as standard, but 13 inch was an option.

Sorry, should have added that you should check the chassis number to confirm it is a real R300 K . I cannot remember the coding,in the chassis number, but it will confirm it is an original R300

I'm no expert but I think the vvc head is better but the noise of the roller barrel throttle bodies is epic!

Throttle bodies provide a platform for further engine modifications to.

The chassis number should have R3 Within the complete number. There is a good guide in the 7 Club web site under frequently asked questions - chassis numbers.
