Camera recommendation
Discussion
A work colleague is going on an African safari and is after advice about a new camera for the occasion. If he was asking about DSLR equipment I'd have been in with a fighting chance, but he has a budget of £200 and I have no idea what is available at that price that will allow him to get good pictures of the wildlife he is likely to encounter.
So I guess his requirements are :
£200 budget
Reasonable zoom performance, but putting quality ahead of silly zoom levels
Easy to carry around for long sessions
Good results in auto (that's my thought, as I reckon if he's asking for advice about a camera, he's not going to be shooting in manual mode)
Anyone able to suggest anything?
