Yes thats right...BAPS - Breastfeeding Awareness in Public Spaces.
I know there's been a mini PH baby boom so may be a current issue for some of you out there.
Whether you're a breastfeeding mother who feels intimidated to be able to feed in public (however discrete), a father who wants his baby to be fed where and when the little nipper wants instead of being forced into a dirty public toilet or just joe public who doesn't want to see discrimination for breastfed babies who have the same right to feed as bottle fed babies.
There's a petition here to try and raise awareness of this issue and a website all about ithere
Before all you boobie fans out there its not about getting ur t*ts out in public. Breastfeeding can be done under shawls etc with no one seeing anything or even knowing about it!

I went back to work when mine were 3 months old, and still gave them breast milk which I expressed.
I know breast is best, but to be honest and I know it's not PC, when I'm having dinner out, I really don't want to be faced with someone flopping their t**s on the table.
If you are going to breast feed, please be discreet, or express it into a bottle, oh and it freezes well.

Are there many women, earth mothers aside, who wouldnt be discrete?
Thats my point. I know if it was me I wouldn't be flopping them out. I'd have respect for other people and would expect respect back.
I've had women getting quite destraught about feeling "dirty" for feeding DISCRETELY when out.

Absolutely, its a respect thing.
I am astonished by Wedge Girls story above, there genuinely is no need for it.
I am a way towards understanding the 'dirty' feelings and have often thought; that it is a cruel ill that society enforces for something that is natural and ultimately more nutritious for the baby. I do however think that we are becoming more accepting of it, as time passes. Expressing is of course a perfectly valid solution but I am told not something all mothers can do. Perhaps I expect too much of society to temper their feelings of embarrasment or discomfort when seeing someone breastfeeding, albeit discretely, in public.
Now if you'll excuse me I must go and have bitty.

Whats an earth mother?
ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BREAST IS BEST.
I used to belong the the national childbirth trust, and I can proudly admit that I breast fed all five of my babies.
I gave them all a head start.
And I used to feed them in public discretely, most people didnt even notice.

What is "have bitty" ?
It's from a comedy sketch from a programme called 'Little Britain'
In it there is an adult male who still gets breastfed by his mother. When he is hungry he asks for 'bitty' and his mother obliges.
Very cringeworthy but strangely amusing at the same time. Although I am finding it more and more horrible everytime I hear it used
