997 PCM2.1 - I recently put a CD into the single CD slot and it refused to eject. I've tried loads of times with no luck. I googled it and tried removing and re-inserting the fuse, I also tried poking around carefully with a piece of plastic. I'm definitely no mechanic, but I'm quite handy at DIY, so I looked on YouTube and then took the plunge...

The removal of the PCM unit was fairly easy, using a Torx, an Allan key and an 8mm spanner. Once I'd released it from the many cable connectors on the rear I undid a couple more Torx screws and released the top part of the PCM to reveal the CD drive. When I looked inside it I found....3, yes 3 CD's inside it!!! I've only had the car for a few months and it has a 6 CD player in the boot, so I've mainly used that, so only 1 of those CD's is mine. One of the CD's looked a bit chipped and scratched, so I reckon someone has poked around in there in the past, and not so carefully!

So I've now got to put it all back together, but I'm going to be a bit hesitant inserting another CD into there. Maybe I should look for a new CD drive, if you can get them?

Anyway, no real questions on this post, just thought someone might be interested in my discovery!!!

Had an issue with the cd in my 997 too, cd wouldn`t eject .... had to grab it with tweezers and pull it out. Played fine though.
