I'm going to install a subwoofer (only a very small one about 12 inches by 4 deep) in the boot next week. Its not actually a cone, but an active unit encased in a box of tricks:

I want to put it above the fuel tank in the boot, where the old cd-changer was. Can anybody give me a hint as to where the cables would normally go? It will need a single phono cable for audio, and I presume 12V for power.

See the piccie below to get an idea of where I'll put it. (Ignore the cubbyhole piccies, its deffo going in the boot!)

The rear loom runs incased in the passenger side sill up the void behind the door and over the wheel arch to the boot.
I wouldn't even contemplate running it through the sill as it will probably contain foam and its a very tight squeeze around the front or the door.
If you can take the carpet up besides the sill and run the cable up to just behind the door you can drill a small hole through the fibreglass and run it up behind the door(there is a velcroed carpet access panel for the door locks) and continue the route as above.

Alternatively, you can avoid the footwell.

Follow the (window lift / microwave sensor / heated seats / speedo sensor) loom down the back of the dash and under the stereo then along the transmission tunnel - you have to lift the transmission cover. At the rear you can follow the door release cables into the door lock recess by prising up the carpet on the rollover front of the parcel shelf. Then run over the rear wheelarch and into the boot by removing the cover on top of the tank.
