Hi ! Has anyone recently been through Norway, Finland or Russia?? Am planning to travel in June on my GSX1000R.What are these places like for being caught for speeding, do they impound your bike or is it on the spot fine etc. Are they harsh mean buggers or easy going types. I would hate to be confronted with an oxford parking warden type looking to increase his weekly bonus!! any help ta

Don't remember any cops with speed guns in Norway, but spotted quite a few in Sweden on the A road equivalents of cops with speed guns in the middle of no-where.

Not done Finland or Russia, tho a mate said the Russian cops a few yrs back were a nightmere for bribes when speeding etc, & they likes US dollars too! Tho maybe not now with the low rate off the US$...? )

No gatsos in Sweden tho, (or not a couple of yrs ago anyway) they tried 'em but the locals kept shooting then out with their moose hunting guns! thats the way forward 'eh
