injector cleaning fluid

can i safely put injector cleaning fluid in my chim, am trying to sort out some accelerating hesitation.

I put redex injector cleaner in my petrol, doesnt seemed to have harmed her and I know a few others on here do the same.

ive used redex to clear valve stick on my wifes mx5,worked a treat at double dosing level,once only-thouroughly reccomended,im sure it will help your injectors if that IS the problem.using quality fuel is the long term solution.

Don't think it'll do any harm as a one off, it certainly won't do any good either though. If your injectors are dirty an ultrasonic clean is the only way to go and keep using good fuel.

Opieoilman or whatever his name is will tell you that any fuel/oil additive is basically snake oil

I'm extremely cynical about these miracle cures, friction reducers, fuel catalysts, magnets, lucky charms and so on. And I'm sure that an untrasonic cleaner must be the best way to do it because that's the method the professionals use. But I still think it's possible for fuel additives to have some cleaning effect. When I had a suspected blocked injector a few weeks ago a very knowledgable professional motor engineer recommended I try injector cleaner, and it did seem to help.

advice i was given was no, don,t use any form of cleaner as ti can clean any build up from inside the petrol tank and clog up the injectors with it. peter
