Rather good this - anyone playing?. Quality you rarely get with mobile games. May be worthy of £7.99 for the full version.

I've just downloaded and agree the quality seems very high.

Agreed. It's very good and fits the form factor and limitations perfectly. If they tried a full control Mario Bros game it's be as awful and all the others that try. This is a nice little game and it'll make Nintendo a fortune.

Didn't hook me straightaway, but as ever there's so much depth with Nintendo that you can't help but go back for that perfect run.

Probably the best £7.99 you'll ever spend.

Edit - gamer tag is 2991-6659-8955 for anybody that wants to link up and compare scores etc.

Hmmm. Player not found. Mine's Doctor X if anyone wants to link.

Almost finished 6th world and already re-started the first to get all the special coins.

You need to add with your player ID rather than nick name, I'm "Dr G" or 0744-5118-9801

As someone who never buys mobile games, I'd say definitely. If you like Mario games.

Erm...

Sort of depends how you look at it, For a Mobile Game it’s extortionate, but I doubt anyone’s going to miss paying the mortgage because of it and, at least for now it completely does away with the Freemium Model which I’ve always hated butfor a Mario game, which is certainly decent quality (looks great on my IP7) it's good value, but it’s still a mobile game – I finished all the levels within a few hours (waiting for my Son’s Climbing Lesson to end) you can play them all again trying to collect harder coins and you can compete against other players, but it’s limited, as it stands now it’s a week or twos worth of toilet time distraction, not like Pokemon Go, my Son has been playing the arse off that for months.

I wish they'd just make another Mario Platform game and sell it for more formats, I'm not going to buy a Wii U.

I certainly wasn't hooked on it. I decided against buying it after the demo. I just wish they could bring out mario for the iPad like I remember it on NES and snes

Likewise, was hooked on Mario for the DS; got bored of this after a couple of levels and already deleted it.

Agreed in part; it would be nice if Nintendo were to release some new levels/worlds.

Kingdom builder seems a bit pointless...

I played the free bit on the Tube this weekend. Seemed good enough, but not being able to control the direction in which you run got me. I'll end up paying for it though, it's a nice time killer over christmas.

There's more control than you might initially think once you've nailed the different jumps. The pause blocks are very useful too (and are generally placed quite strategically).
