Anyone know this 12C?
Discussion
I would love a 570s but can't justify the level of interest I would pay over 3 years on PCP and I don't have the ££ to buy one outright, so I've been back to the drawing board, this is the exact colour and spec I would like on a 12C, the millage is a bit high, but that seems to have been taken into account on the price.

Hi, don't know the car but was discussed in one of the other threads recently where I stated that it was the cheapest car ever advertised at think 106k, so now even cheaper.
2012 car is good, superlight alloys good, no sports exhaust but not a biggy, only downside to the car is the 28k miles, that said the cars are a lot less mileage sensitive than those red things.
Make sure you get the McLaren warranty with the car, this will cost you £3500 a year, you may have to pay for an inspection if the warranty has been allowed to lapse, whilst it may well have just been serviced again make sure it was McLaren and not anyone else, also come 2017 it will want another service albeit maybe November at £1500 so factor these costs in.

super high mileage and no warranty
got to be £90-95k max
'Super high mileage'..? Dear God man, it's a car not a postage stamp. This really makes me despair.got to be £90-95k max
28K miles is hardly high mileage and you're definitely better with a car that has done few miles rather than a garage queen with dried out oil seals! Looks like a nice car...and you could definitely negotiate the warranty cost.
Worth getting for your first year of ownership, but if the car proves to be reliable then I wouldn't bother thereafter...just treat the car, like any car, and warm it up before giving it the beans and you'll be fine.

I put 16,500 miles on my weekend toy F-TYPE R in 12 months.I'm not afraid of mileage
but in the current market, this stands out as one of, if not the, highest mileage cars - so they price has to reflect that, add in a private sale, with no OEM warranty, this puts this very low in the price market and will definitely be the cheapest 12C in some time both past and present

Just to add car should have at least 4 service stamps not 3 ?
^ this. The mileage isn't an issue as long as the maintenance has been done properly. I'm not sure I agree the cars aren't mileage sensitive though. They are just because most people tend to freak out about it and buy lower mile cars in practice. If the spread is less compared to Ferraris that's because the low mileage cars are already low-ish.Edited by isaldiri on Friday 16th December 19:09

At £103k this is already very cheap and you will struggle to find one cheaper. I recon the seller won't go under £100k. As for buying it at £90k, dream on - that's trade money. Most of these cars are sold through dealers on SOR so at this price it's very cheap.http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...

The mileage is not high - these cars are now 5 years old, so that's normal.
My only concern is that it's missing one service. Take it to an authorized dealer and get it checked out. Don't bother with the warranty - it's too expensive, and anything that would have failed will have done so by now.
There are quite a number of cars with significantly more miles than that.
A number of owners need to get their car's serviced more than once each year as service intervals are 1 year or 10k miles.
A 570S owner needed to get his serviced before it was even 6 months old so it won't be long before his exceeds 28k.
This chap in Switzerland averages nearly 28k annually http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/profiles/v...
In summary, nothing to worry about, buy it, drive it and enjoy it!

bit out of interest, how many people have needed warranty work that was more than the 3.5k?
Your correct, like all insurance total waste of money until you need it.A lot of the cars have had annoying things sorted under warranty, the parts prices in general are crazy, the unknown worry to a degree is that there have been a number of cars that have had a gearbox seal leak, on its own no big deal except McLaren will not allow the manufacturer to sell you the part it has to be a replacement gearbox, approx £27k fitted, suddenly £3.5k seems attractive.
Putting 2 and 2 together I believe this car is owned by a supercar rental company in Bournemouth called Unique Prestige Cars, which would make sense considering the miles on the car. See their IG link... https://www.instagram.com/uniqueprestigecars/?hl=e... registration was FAS7A I believe which would also make it this one... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FBqWihzKTM

If that's the case, then OP should run....fast Chris CC
Many thanks for the detective work! High mileage and likely to have been hard miles if its not someone's pride and joy, so probably not been warmed up (and sat on the limiter in the high-street
).
I think I'll wait till spring and see if I can get an ex demo 570s/540c or a cared for 12C.
