Reasonable admin fee's
Discussion
Can anyone tell me if there is such as thing as regulation vi the FSA around reasonable admin fees?
To give an outline, moving house, initially bought under a help to buy so there's a 20% loan that needs to be sorted out. Remortgaging is paying that but to get a settlement the finance company who deal with it want to charge £250 to get a settlement.
Admin fee... whatever I can understand that to some extent certainly but £250 seems a bit over the top.
I have tried to have a look myself but couldn't find anything specific from the FSA/Ombudsman website.

Presumably, you thought the fee was reasonable when you borrowed the money and agreed to the terms of the loan?
You presume incorrectly, as the 'debt' has moved from one management company to another at least twice.I'll try find the original paperwork to be sure though.
