Mobile Mercedes Tech to rescue SLK Essex needed

My SLK (2005 new shape 171) had a Lewis Hamilton moment on the A12 recently, with the car literally shutting down on the inside lane. One mobile merc tech diagnosed with STAR software but said change the front SAM unit, as no power was getting to the main ECU. I bought another, no change. I need a mobile tech to come and pair the replacement SAM to the ECU and if anybody has ANY contacts tried and tested I am in the Chelmsford area. So before I give the inevitable £2000 to the dealer who'll pick the easy option I must try the alternative to get her back on the road.
