I've got my order in for a new M2 and have added over £4K of carbon M performance parts to the order. Should I expect the parts to be fitted for free as part of the deal or pay for fitting?

You can get the following as part of a kit that costs £2,800 inc VAT but excluding fitting. BMW are giving discounts/incentives to the dealers to try to get M2 customers to buy the whole carbon kit. The kit does however exclude the carbon gear stick surround which I've negotiated to be fitted at £330 inc VAT.

This is the kit:
Front right and left carbon winglets
Carbon rear diffuser
Carbon rear lip spoiler
Right and left gloss black M2 side grilles
Carbon right and left side (sill) attachments
Carbon mirror covers
Gloss black kidney grills
including all adhesives needed.

You can also get the M Performance exhaust including carbon tips for £2,300 inc VAT but excluding fitting. This is another BMW incentive to the dealer.

These are figures that have been quoted to me from two separate BMW dealers.

Get back to your dealer and tell them to get their parts manager to speak to BMW to confirm these prices.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the info. That's exactly what I got priced up, + the stripe kit, and my dealer prices it all individually and it came to just over £4K without the exhaust. They won't give me any discount on the parts as they said the just sell them at cost! They did offer 20% discount on fitting, but still want over £700 for fitting.

So to summarise: They want £4700 ish. Sounds like they are trying it on.

Can you let me know what dealers are pricing it at £2800?

All dealers should be pricing the kit at £2,800 as that's the price BMW are offering the package at.

The dealer I've ordered the M2 through is Cooper Colchester, Adam Pavey is the the parts manager and initially he didn't know about the package as a deal and he had to contact BMW, however, he has confirmed these price to me in an email.

Your dealer may not know about the package deal as you've said they've priced everything separately so they need to contact BMW.

I originally found out about this as I saw an M Performance exhaust with the carbon tips listed on eBay for £2,400 and contacted the dealer who was Harry Fairbairn Ltd who are based in Glasgow and are a BMW franchised dealer. This is who also gave me the package cost of the carbon bits at £2,800 and told me it's a deal BMW are doing. I could have ordered an M2 through them for delivery in March and as an incentive they offered to fit everything for free if I order through them. I didn't want everything in one go as I only want the carbon DCT gear stick surround which isn't part of the package and the only other bits I want are the rear lip spoiler and black kidney grills.
