Going to the in-laws for Christmas and new year. He's only got the basic Sky package, I have full.

Is there an easy was such as taking the viewing card with me to unlock the channels at their house, or if we can take our Sky box and card?

Thanks in advance....

I don't think you'll have any luck as the card is paired to the box. Not sure if you can take the box with you.

As above rake your box and card and it will work fine. We occasionally borrow a relatives villa in Spain and take our own Sky box. The dish on the Villas roof is massive though to get a signal that far south.

I've just put my card in their box before and it works but I'd definitely just take the box and card for ease.

just to clarify - premium channels like sport and movies the card needs to be paired to the box so it will not work unless you call sky and get the card linked to the new box.

its just easier to take the box its already paired with smile
